How Do I Update My Videos?

If you're looking to update or edit your videos after they've been generated, the options available to you depend on the type of video you've created. Below, we break down how you can update each video type and how to gain more control over your future videos by using Manual Mode.

Video Types and Editing Options

1. AI Video

  • Editing Capabilities: You can update AI Videos up to 3 times for each generated video.
  • What You Can Edit: You can provide a new script to regenerate the video.
  • How to Update:

Access Your Video: Go to your dashboard and select the AI Video you wish to update.

Edit Script: Click on the option to edit or update the script.

Regenerate Video: Submit the new script to regenerate the video.

2. Reddit Stories

  • Editing Capabilities: Cannot be edited after generation.
  • Why: Reddit Stories are generated based on real-time Reddit posts, and editing them could misrepresent the original content.
  • Recommendation: For changes, consider creating a new video with the desired Reddit post.

3. Fake Chat

  • Editing Capabilities: Cannot be edited after generation.
  • Why: Fake Chat videos are generated based on the initial script and settings provided.
  • Recommendation: If you need changes, please create a new Fake Chat video with the updated content.

4. Song Chat

  • Editing Capabilities: Cannot be edited after generation.
  • Why: Song Chat videos are tailored to sync with specific audio and lyrics.
  • Recommendation: To make changes, generate a new Song Chat video with the desired adjustments.

Gaining More Control: Use Manual Mode

If you want more control over your videos before they are finalized, consider setting your video settings to Manual Mode. This way, all new videos will be saved as drafts, allowing you to fully customize them before publishing.

How to Enable Manual Mode

Go to Settings: Log in to your Shortspilot.ai account and navigate to your settings page.

Select Manual Mode: Find the video settings section and choose Manual Mode.

Save Changes: Confirm and save your new settings.

AI Video

  • AI Voice for Voiceover: Choose from various AI voices to narrate your video.

  • Messenger Theme: Choose the visual theme of the chat interface (e.g., iOS, Android).
  • AI Voices for Voiceover: Select AI voices for both the sender and receiver in the chat.

Song Chat

  • Customization Note: While Song Chats cannot be edited after creation, using Manual Mode allows you to fine-tune the initial settings before the video is generated.
